Our season is short we begin picking around mid June each year and season ends by mid July. At that time the remaining berries are too ripe (totally pink) to ship. The remaining pink ones get frozen for later use.

Fresh berries can either be picked up from our farm in Hightstown New Jersey or we can ship fresh berries next day air. This is not cheap and the price UPS demands goes up every year but if you want them we can ship anywhere in the continental US.

FROZEN EUROPEAN GOOSEBERRIES

We will be shipping frozen gooseberries when winter comes. We cannot ship in the summer its too hot and the berries defrost before they arrive so they are not in best condition. We generally ship between January and March depending on the weather. We have fully pink from this year and also some pink, light pink and green ones left from last year.
We open freeze our gooseberries then bag them in one pound or four pound bags and vacuum pack them to ensure they stay as fresh as possible.
We tested some bags and have found that they will stay good for over five years if we do this.

Frozen berries can be picked up from the farm all year but by appointment only. We are not open to the public.
